Shouse Books

OOMER BUNGLE is a 52-story, bi-weekly chronicle of a baby boomer’s first stab at the game of retirement.  It is a compilation of actual events that occurred as this author struggled to get a grasp on the emotional process of his maiden voyage into the post-working apocalypse.  Some liberties were taken with minor details like truth and fact, but the stories are representative of the experiences we will all face as we age, I am sorry to say.  It is part editorial, part journalistic (although actual writers may take issue with that), and often highly-hyphenated.  It may be a guide for some, a set of rules for others, but most likely a warning to all:  “Buckle up… retirement is not for the weak.”
